New Greeting Card Writers group

I sought for years for a greeting card writer support group with no success. When I returned from Mount Hermon after attending Matt Anderson's class on writing for DaySpring, I knew the time was right to begin one myself.

Sorry you are having complications with your pregnancy. That must me tough.

I am not going to make it to Mt. Hermon either, as my employer is going to be in China that week, and I am planning on taking my writer's group to the Oregon Christian Writer's Conference in July.

As for the greeting card group, I could direct a couple of new writer's that way and maybe they would be able to learn from the group. Unless it's just for intermediate to advanced writers, then I will hold off. I don't have time right now to do the group; I have plenty on my plate with the writing ministry I started and dealing with my brother's estate. Plus, I work for a CPA, so it's really busy right now.

I pray that you will have an easier time with your pregnancy, and that you and your baby will healthy. =)

Hey Brandy, I hope you didn't think that I flaked out about the greeting card group a few months ago. I signed up and got my password and everything and then it didn't work, so I said forget it. I wish that some web sites weren't so complicated for signing up and with passwords and such. Maybe that is why there isn't a lot of people using it?

Brandy, where is the Greeting Card Writers group located? Or, is this an online group only?

I also started a writer's ministry at my church when I got back from Mount Hermon this year. We are all pretty new (except for one, who is a copy writer), and we are encouraging each other to keep writing and pursuing God for direction. I started a blog community where we can just write and be free to put our thoughts out there for others to read. It's been good for me, as I just sent in an article based on one of my blogs.

yes, I've worked on three different proposals, and will give final touches to them and get them sent off to Terry Burns, so he can send them off for me -- I'm so thankful for the trip to Mount Hermon and it opened several opportunities
