Hey Dan,
First a reminder to answer people's notes by using the comment back button. Otherwise you leave the comments on your page instead of theirs!
I just got my audio recordings of the conference. Now I can sit in on your session - after the fact.
Take care!!!

Yes, this is nice. I'm new to Ning and so far I like this venue.

So, it looks like you'll be in my sector of the country when you make it to Boston (3-4 hours away by car). We're in the rainy season now (under a flood watch at the moment), but snow is finally melting and it's been warm. It's wonderful to see the ground again after a banner snow year.

My projects are going better than planned. I returned home with clear writing direction and I've been learning how to schedule myself. When I hit it, it goes well and confirms I'm on the right path.

I'd love to stay in touch. Thanks for warm welcome. All my best to Kay ~

Hi, Brandy. Boy, is this a great way to stay in touch, or what? Thanks for taking the time to write; we think of all of you often too--what an especially great class that was. Well, we're up to our eyeballs, Kay even more than I right now. She has to have her "Power of One" (India) in by April 28, and she's got a couple of chapters yet to go. I'm doing editing while getting ready for my seminar run next week, then with Kay to Sacto for her talks with a mega-church there, then on to Boston for a keynote at the end of the month. But, thank the Lord we have work to do ("considering the alternative..." as they say...) Be well, and please continue to stay in touch. Are your projects going as planned? How is the weather there now? (I don't want to brag, but we're having early summer right no--windows open fans on...) All the best, Dan (and for Kay)

Hi Dan. Nice to "see" you again. I was just thinking about you and Kay and wondering how you were doing a month out from MH.

Hi, Judi, and I'm glad to joined up. I hope this will be a way for us to stay in touch from time to time. It's also good for me--as I age--to always have a face to put with the name so I can keep the many great people I get to meet at MH straight in my mind. Dan

Thanks for a fun site! I don't usually spend much time on blogs, but I will try to keep up with this one, or at least check in from time to time. By the way, as per Kay's suggestion, I may start using a pseudonym. I still have to talk to my husband about it, though. I'll let you know what that new name for my writing and speaking will be once I decide. I'm tossing a few names around and trying them on for size... What a task!

My pleasure, Dan. Please invite anyone you know who is an alumnus. I've invited about 100. It took a long time to type all those email addresses out. I'm hoping those 100 can invite most of the rest of the group from this year.
Take care!!

Thanks, Dan and Kay!
I didn't get to visit with either of you this year. But thank you so much for your prayers and advice last year. I really appreciated it!
Blessings,
Merrie

Hey Dan,
So glad you could join us. This wouldn't truly be a Mount Hermon site if you weren't here!!

What years did you attend Mt. Hermon
1998-2008 (missed a couple in there somewhere)
About Me:
I attended Mt. Hermon's Christian Writer's conference a number of times before being invited to be on faculty about 2000 or so. I think I coat-tailed on the reputation and name of my better-known writer-wife, Kay Strom. In any event, we've done a number of MMT's together, notably "The Writer as Speaker" (and vice-versa), grammar classes, and fiction/non-fiction writing. I've enjoyed every one of them immensely, and always feel privileged to participate in activities at such a holy and beautiful place.

Your most memorable moments/things at Mt. Hermon
Attending morning services led by Karen Ball; leading a prayer of thanksgiving at meals; attending the keynotes in the evenings--all the speakers were great, with incredible diversity in their talks; getting to know the individual conferees in one setting or another; getting to be "chaplain" last year and helping others in that manner...
