Platform. It's a word I hear at conferences. It's a word I read about on blogs. It's a word I saw in a recent email where an editor wrote, "Not a large enough platform." I do speak locally. As I was nestling in to read a book, my mind kept going back to my Mt. Hermon experience, just a few weeks ago. The California sun, roommates, and fellow writers are still fresh in my mind.
